IPTV System Design
We captured requirements and investigated options for new content management, materials management and workflow systems for an IPTV platform which is planned to have a large through-put of content. Automatic ingest of schedules, assets and products is an important capability in this sort of scenario.
New Interactive TV System
We conducted a feasibility study and design of a new interactive TV broadcast system and Set Top Box, analysing several methods for synchronising the interactive and audio-visual content and exploring alternative STB architectures.
Open Source OSS
We implemented custom provisioning logic using scripts running in a LAMP environment to create an OSS (operational support system) solution that was cost effective and maintainable by the customer.
Project Definition for a PVR
We worked with a cable operator to capture their requirements, including the business, system integration and other technical requirements to define a project to deliver a new PVR.
TV Broadcasting Strategy for the European Parliament
As part of a consortium, we analysed the issues that needed to be addressed to meet the parliament's objective of getting direct TV access to the electorate. This included the cost of reaching viewers within the 25 EU member states using various distribution platforms and the implications of working in all the official EU languages.
Meta Data Standards
We worked with the ISAN International Agency on development of their standard and looked at how they might gain industry accepentce of the standard.
Conditional Access Strategy
We defined the requirements and analysed the system integration issues for this European TV platform operator, then found a short-list of conditional access vendors and worked with the client to get the best system for the best price.
DVB Headend for Usability Lab
We Designed, built and deployed an interactive TV broadcasting system for the audience research laboratory at the Interactive Television Research Institute, Murdoch University, Western Australia. The system supports DVB-S, DVB-T, DVB-C, OpenTV and MHP.
Multimedia Directory Service Design
for a tier 1 telecom operator. We reviewed their existing projects in the space, and analysed the future of the Multimedia Directory and its contact and context aggregation role within Social Networks, Trust and Identity to define a set of future platform requirements for the company.

We reviewed the emerging research projects in the overall emerging "Web 2.0" arena - user generated content, new search, folksonomies, social networks, open source, interactive advertising, customer analytics and customer experience areas and defined areas of possible services to develop themselves, areas to collaborate and services to potentially spin out.

Helped to re-define their requirements for their retail arm's ongoing customer service needs, and helped change the in-house services and also renegotiate contracts to change outsourced operations and bring bring some back in-house.
